What’s your take on stock drawdown leverage limits?

I've been diving into the world of leveraged trading, and I keep hearing about the importance of setting drawdown limits. It makes sense to me on some level, but I’m curious about how other traders handle this. How do you figure out a comfortable drawdown leverage limit for your trades? Have you had experiences where ignoring these limits backfired?

I’ve read that limiting drawdowns can help protect your capital, but I’m also worried about being too conservative and missing out on bigger gains. Do you guys have any strategies or rules of thumb you follow? I'm all ears!
