How do you all manage stock spread leverage costs?

I'm getting into trading with some leverage, and I’ve been looking at stock spreads lately. It's a bit overwhelming, to be honest. I understand the basics, but I’m really curious about how other traders manage the costs associated with leverage and spreads.

Do you find that the additional expenses eat into your profits significantly, or have you figured out strategies to mitigate those costs? I’ve read that choosing the right stocks and timing can help, but I’d love to hear some personal experiences. Are there specific trade types that you've found work better for managing those expenses? Any tips or personal stories would be super helpful as I navigate this!
