Is it a good idea to hold a forex long margin position right now?

I've been eyeing a couple of currency pairs and am considering taking a long margin position, but I'm feeling a bit hesitant with the current market volatility. I know margins can amplify both gains and losses, and I'm wondering how others feel about it.

Have you had success with long positions lately, or do you think it's too risky at this moment? Also, how do you usually manage your margin to avoid a margin call? Any tips or experiences would be super helpful! I’m curious if anyone else is in the same boat or if you’ve tried different strategies that worked for you. Thanks!

I've been thinking about going long too, but the volatility is definitely making me cautious. I usually set a strict stop-loss to protect myself and keep an eye on economic news. It seems like a balancing act right now, trying to stay optimistic without overexposing myself. Anyone tried hedging to manage those risks?
